RF 17 JUL 13
With reference to your letter of February 7th,
No. 4335/13
and previous correspondence
relative relative to the registration of ships owned by Companies
having their principal place of business at one of the
Chinese Treaty Ports, I am directed by Secretary Sir E. Grey
to suggest to you the advisability of taking advantage of
the presence in this country of Sir . Fraser to hold a
further meeting of the Inter-departmental Committee to dis-
cuss the matter at which he could attend.
Sir E. Grey would propose that the meeting should take
place some time during the first week in September, and, on
receiving the concurrence of the Colonial Office in the sug-
gestion, he will take steps to ascertain from Sir E. Fraser
the exact date and our which would be convenient to him.
A similar communication has been addressed to the
The Under Secretary of State,
olonial Office.
